Kauai Island
Out of the six spectacularly scenic and uniquely beautiful islands of Hawaii, the most attractive is Kauai Island and for this, it earned the nickname, “the Garden Isle.”
Yet, despite its beauty and apparent acclaim as a great place to Hawaiian vacation, Kauai Island is actually one of the least commercialized of the Hawaiian Islands and tends to be quieter, without a lot of raucous nightlife.
Kauai Island is considered to have the highest number of beaches, the majority of which are virtually deserted. So, your vacation will be all about the beautiful Kauai beaches and sparkling waters.
But lying on beaches, no matter how gorgeous and spectacular, can be tiring, which is why many other activities exist to keep you entertained while on a Kauai Island vacation adventure.
And surprisingly enough, some of the best parts of Kauai Island are best seen on foot.

The lush tropical vegetation gives Kauai Island the type of setting you’d expect from a vacation, but when you visit Waimea Canyon on the other side of Kauai’s west shore, you’ll find it like stepping into an entirely different place.
The Canyon, known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, offers a dry, desert-like canyon experience that’s uniquely Kauai. There’s no other island in Hawaii that provides you with quite the same experience.
The North Shore of Kauai Island is a rough 30-mile stretch traversed by a winding, two-lane highway. As one of the most photographed places in Hawaii, the Na Pali Cliffs are sheer faces of rock that plunge down dramatically into the Pacific from heights of up to 4,000 feet.

Occasionally, the cliffs break, providing you with an astonishing glimpse of the Kauai Island interior – a collapsed volcanic crater covered in giant prehistoric-looking velvety ferns. And to top it all off, all these come awash in silvery waterfalls that plummet hundreds of feet.
Kauai Island activities on land include bicycles, golf and tennis, guided tours, hiking and camping, horseback riding, hunting and shooting, luaus, motorcycles and ATVs, museums, and so much more.
If you want to get an unobstructed view of the whole island without the strains of hiking for miles, then an airplane or helicopter tour might just be what you’re looking for.
An hour or two is all you need to enjoy one of these Kauai Island activities for a stunning and memorable journey around this island home of beauty and aloha.
Kauai Island is charmingly small with such a gigantic reputation for excellence. It’s most famous for its beaches and sparkling blue waters so, of course, there are many Kauai activities that involve being on the water.
On Kauai Island, you’ll find out what boundless, unlimited fun on the water really means as boating, scuba diving, and other water adventures await you. So experience it all through any of the many Kauai Island activities available.
